Habitat StewardsTM Program in Fall 2008
Habitat Stewards™ is a volunteer program of the National Wildlife Federation® and, in Maine, is a joint effort with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension. Habitat Stewards help improve wildlife habitat in their communities by spending 30 hours on related volunteer activities in exchange for 30 hours of training by conservation experts. All classes are held at the University of Maine Cooperative Extension Androscoggin-Sagadahoc Counties office in Lisbon Falls at 24 Main Street, or in the local area, 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., on alternate Saturdays, September 13 & 27, October 11 & 25, November 8 & 22, 2008. Cost for the program is $75. We are accepting applications from now until August 15, 2008.
