June 2 Barker Mill Trail Work Day

LA Trails and United New Auburn are holding a volunteer work day along the Little Androscoggin River walking along the Barker Mill Trail off Mill Street on Saturday June 2. The group plans to meet at 9 AM at the Trailhead, which is located off Mill Street in New Auburn and expects to spead woods chips, pick-up trash and do other trail maintenance as needed. Parking is available at Model Railroad Club (across Mill Street)

Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own yard tools to help with project work.
The Androscoggin Land Trust is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) membership-supported organization dedicated to protecting, through land conservation and stewardship, the important natural areas, traditional landscapes, and outdoor experience in the Androscoggin River watershed. We currently conserve approximately 4,850 acres of land, including over ten miles of riverfront along the Androscoggin River. ALT-offered recreational programs in the region include LA Trails, serving Lewiston-Auburn, Chisholm Trails, serving Jay and Livermore Falls, and the Great Falls Paddling Society, offering seasonal outings on the Androscoggin River.
