February 25-Androscoggin Riverlands State Park Snowshoe Hike- Winter Greens

The second in a three part series of snowshoes that will take place in the Riverlands State Park, Maine’s newest state park, will highlight the plants and trees of this park. Mike Auger, Stewardship Director for the Androscoggin Land Trust and Margi Huber, Outreach Coordinator will lead groups along the Homestead Trail and discuss the plants that live there, how they survive the winter and what they offer to wildlife.  The hike begins at 10 a.m. and will return to the parking lot by 1 p.m.  Please bring your own snowshoes, snacks and water; and dress appropriately for the weather. Directions: We will meet at the main entrance of the park, off Center Bridge Road in Turner.
