Packard - Littlefield Farm, Lisbon
Ackley Drew Brook Easement, Buckfield:
Conserves 165 acres of forest and wetlands along Drew Brook in Buckfield through an easement generously donated by Wes and Emory Ackley. Drew Brook empties into the greater Jersey Bog watershed. This property is privately owned.

Ambrose Farm Easement, Harlow Hill Road, Turner
This property contains 100 acres of fields and woods with beautiful views of White Mountains. The conservation easement was donated to ALT by George & Phyllis Ambrose in 2001 and is privately owned.

Durham River Park, Durham
Owned by the Town of Durham and managed by the Durham Conservation Commission, ALT has held a conservation easement on the property since 2000. This park contains 12-acres of public parkland and forest along the Androscoggin River and is open to the public.

Huston Farm Easements, Auburn
Conservation easements placed on the former Huston Farm in 1999 and 2004 conserves a 50-acre field and 14 acres of woods for farmland preservation and neighborhood non-motorized usage. This property is privately owned.

Keene-Whitman Forest, Hebron and Turner
ALT’s first conservation easement! Donated by George G. Martin in 1996 to the New England Forestry Foundation, ALT and The Lake Auburn Watershed Protection Commission jointly placed an easement on the property in 1998 to conserve 100 acres of woods and a stream that is a major tributary of Lake Auburn.

Marden-Chittick Refuge, Greene
Three conservation easements were donated by Judith Marden to ALT on Clark Mountain in 2002. These easements protect over 200 acres of woods and fields, 155 of which is a forever wild area. This property is privately owned.

North Parish Road Easements, Turner
Three conservation easements donated to ALT in 1998, 1999 and 2001 conserve a total area of 262-acres along North Parish Road. The properties consist of fields, woods, and pond shoreline within the historic landscape of Merrill Hill and Pleasant Pond. These parcels are privately owned.

Packard-Littlefield Farm, Lisbon
Purchased in 2004 through the Land for Maine’s Future Program from Bob and Ella Mae Packard, this conservation easement protects a 195-acre historic working family farm with fields, woods, and streams as well as riparian frontage along the Sabattus River and No-Name Stream. The farm remains privately owned and operated by the Packard – Littlefield Family.

Purinton Historic Home, West Bowdoin
The historic Purinton family home was built in 1820 and donated to ALT in 2001 by the Purinton Family. We sold the property back to the Purinton family and placed conservation easements on the home and the 9-acres of land immediately surrounding it to conserve the rural and historic character of the neighborhood. The property is privately owned and not open to the public.

West Bowdoin Cemetery Association Parcel, West Bowdoin
In 2004, ALT donated this 2-acre parcel to the West Bowdoin Cemetery Association, which in turn placed deed restrictions on the parcel to conserve the rural landscape of the neighborhood. This parcel is located across West Road from our Purinton Homestead Preserve.

Unless specified, most of our easements are on privately owned land and are not open to the public.
